A SONG FROM THE HEART OF BOBBY C. LEE

This was my Sunday read and I want to review it while still fresh. I have met Bobby Lee twice. And the last time was in Miami a few weeks ago.

This time he had a book. And I went Wow! Because I know what a big project that is. And I loved the title. But did not get around to reading it until today.

But also let me set the mood.

Kind of a stressful week. That’s OK. I strive on stress. But at times it can be too much.

So much so that you have to work at unwinding. Believe me, it was not my intention to unwind. I did not want to unwind! The miracle was I did and this book was a large part of it!

You see I thought it might be just another bitcoin book, and it is! But a quite different one.

The cover is loud. That’s what I want! But the message turned out to be personal. Too much at first, making me hope I was not visiting an ego trip. You could see this was his first book and he starts out with a very personal introduction, My Journey Into Bitcoin. Yet, it began to get hold of me. From the Chu and Lee families to Craig Wright could be 1/3 of Satoshi. It pulled me in, relaxed me until I fell asleep. Woke up and resumed. And this happened three times until I woke up fully refreshed and awake!

After that much REM sleep, I can’t help but like the book. Don’t agree on everything, but Lee makes it clear where he is coming from. Excellent at every level, from a very level head.

He has knowledge of history and not just bitcoin history, which was a very pleasant surprise. From the ancient to the recent, and not just history. But also philosophy. And not just philosophy, but economics. Not just the tech and computer science. And the tech Lee covers in a way the layman can understand.

Definitely, a Renaissance man who realizes he has been blessed writing a book he did not need to write but wanted to.

While Saifedean Ammous’s The Bitcoin Standard gave us a foundation in academia, Bobby C. Lee gives us the blue-collar view of bitcoin. A view where the bitcoin tire meets the off-road of the world. This book is written both for newbs as well as sound money OGs like me.
